KLANG CHAPTER
The banquet was organized by the Klang North, Klang South and Klang Taman Intan chapters on Thursday, 13th April 2006 at Restaurant Taman Rashna. The speaker was Pastor Lim Gee Tiong who led an entourage of 16 people comprising singers, musicians and dancers. There were more than 50 people who responded to the altar call. The number was a surprise as Klang, was generally perceived as hard ground for the salvation of souls.

Praise God indeed when so many came forward. Members of the relevant chapters were greatly surprised and excited at how God had done such a great and mighty work in opening up the people of Klang. Even the elderly people, who were more conservative in outlook, responded.

Pastor Lim’s message was relevant to the Chinese people, who had always wanted the children to be blessed. He shared about a Chinese saying that a person’s wealth can only be sustained up to the third generation and he related how that was true in his own family. His grandparents were poor and had experienced a lot of heartaches and several tragedies.

Those things occurred because though God, as a Father, wanted to bless them, He was not able to do so because they did not want to turn to Him. Pastor Lim then shared how after his own siblings got saved one by one, the blessings came and his family was no longer poor. God had blessed his family with a better life, and the decision to become a Christian had influenced the rest of the family.

Another favourable factor was the fact the restaurant served as a neutral venue to non-Christians. That applied to people who had some reservations about going into a church building. The Chinese banquet dinner was also a novelty and served as an attraction for the people to attend, especially in Klang!

Above all, it was the Sovereign and Gracious hand and favour of God upon the event that made it so fruitful. Indeed, everything went well and smoothly. Praise God!

KEPONG & JINJANG PASTORS’ FELLOWSHIP
Praise God for the opportunity to host a fellowship dinner for 17 pastors from the vicinity of Kepong & Jinjang at Sri Damansara Club on 24th. April 2006.The dinner became even more meaningful when FGBMF National President, Bro. Lee Gee Koon, and National Secretary, Bro. Wong Hong Meng decided to attend as well. Together with 10 Chinese-speaking FGB brothers, the dinner started with a praise & worship session. It was followed by a brief introduction of the FGBMF by bro. Lee Wei Min.

After dinner was served, Bro. Hong Meng presented a powerpoint presentation on the implications of the FGBMF ministry and the local churches, which was well- received. The pastors were impressed and convinced that the FGB market place ministry should be further promoted in the region. As a result of that, they took up more than half the dinner tables of FGB evangelistic dinner to be held on 11th. June 2006 in Kepong.

The dinner was organised by a pro-tem committee comprising members from the Desa Aman Chinese Chapter, with a total number of 42 tables.

The Fellowship dinner marked the beginning of FGB work in Kepong & Jinjang, and was definitely a breakthrough in which the Lord wanted every one of his disciple to enlarge the market place ministry in the region. To God Be The Glory !
